HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR AKASHIC RECORD READING
In order to access your Akashic Records, I use your current legal name as it is recorded on your tax records. Please make sure you know the name you use on your formal tax or governmental records. I will ask you for that at the beginning of your session. This needs to be exactly as your name is recorded (i.e. Jane B. Jones or Jane Beverly Jones). Before your Akashic Record reading compose a list of questions about the areas of your life you would like to have clarity about in your reading. The questions can be mundane or lofty. It is best to compose questions that do not elicit a “yes” or “no” answer. The best types of questions begin with “what”, “why”, and “how.” Please place your questions in order so that the ones you would most like to have answered are up at the top. Readings are approximately 1 hour in length. It is best to take notes so you can go back at another time and look at the information.
WHAT TO ASK
The Akashic Records are a place in which it is “all about you.” Ask the questions that are most important to you in the moment. The questions can range from the mundane to the spiritual; all are valid and appropriate if they are important to you. What’s revealed will be loving, honoring and healing, as well as practical, grounded information you can use right away. Sample questions are given below, to help you create your own questions.
1. I’m in a relationship and it’s going nowhere. I really had hoped to be married and to have a family at this point in my life. Would it be wise for me to end the relationship and try to meet someone soon who really wants what I want? Are there men out there who are ready to commit to family? And why do I keep meeting the “same man,” relationship after relationship, leaving me dissatisfied and lonely? Is there anything in the Records that can help me understand this pattern and clear it for good?
2. I’m in business for myself and it’s going really well as far as having work that matters to me and feeling inspired by what I do. But I’m barely making it financially and it’s scary. Am I kidding myself? Would it make more sense to go back to the regular working world while I’m establishing myself, even though I really don’t want to do that? Is there some way to look into the Record of the business itself to see if it has something to teach me, to help it thrive? And in my own Record, is there some way I’m unconsciously thwarting my own success? How can I move forward and succeed at the work I love to do?
3. I’ve been married for 25 years. We’ve had three wonderful children and while two of them are off on their own, the third is struggling to leave the nest. My wife doesn’t push our son as hard as I do to stand on his own two feet. We’re fighting with each other and disagree so strongly, I feel alienated in my marriage for the first time ever. Is it only the kids that have held us together? Is there anything to sustain our relationship? My wife lives for the kids and I live for my job. Without the kids at home, would we even want to be together? There’s so little passion in our marriage that I think about leaving. Maybe she’s thinking the same thing? What does my Record show about my role in all of this? How can I find peace with the situation my son is in, trust my wife, and know that it will all work out? How can I be a better father and husband and create deeper connection with my wife and son?
4. My cat, Leo, is listless and uninterested. He looks depressed and barely eats. This behavior is pretty new (in the last month or so) and can’t be explained by anything the vet has looked into. I feel like he’s trying to tell me what’s wrong, but I just don’t understand. Would you look into my cat’s Record and see if he’ll show me how best to support him? What is he trying to communicate to me?
5. I can’t seem to let go of the grief of my father’s death. We were very close and for years, I gladly took care of him as he aged. Now that he’s gone, I feel my life has lost its purpose and without either of my parents alive, I’m not sure where I belong. How can I truly let go of my father, resolve my grief, and move on with life? If this is how we all end up anyhow, what’s to keep me motivated?
6. My health is in a terrible state. For years, I’ve suffered from a myriad of symptoms, have very little energy or “oomph,” and I’m exhausted from it. Is there any hope for improvement? Is there something behind the poor state of my health that I’m not seeing that you could share? What steps might I take to begin to experience some freedom from this? Or, if I’m always going to feel less than optimal, is there at least some way to find peace with this situation and be OK with what is?

1. What are the Akashic Records? The Akashic Records are a “database” that contains the information about each soul and its journey, throughout all of its lifetimes. The information in the Akashic Records is contained in the Universal Mind, or in a dimension of Divine Universal Consciousness. “The Records are an experiential body of knowledge that contains everything that every soul has ever thought, said, and done over the course of its existence, as well as all its future possibilities.” (Linda Howe)
2. How are the Akashic Records accessed? The Akashic Records can be accessed in a variety of ways. I have learned to access them using a prayer entitled the “Pathway Prayer Process”, from Linda Howe. The beauty of using this process of prayer is that it allows you to access the Records at any time you choose which is unprecedented at any other time in history.
3. What is it like to have an Akashic Record reading? Each Akashic Record reading is approximately 1 hour. It can be done in person, over the phone or via Skype. During the session your Akashic Records will be opened by me (Yvonne) and then you will be able to ask the questions that are on your mind at that time. I will be working with your Masters, Teachers and Loved Ones, who will be present during the reading, to bring you the most appropriate information at that point in time. Often your Masters, Teachers & Loved Ones will ask you questions as well, so that you can receive clarity on the information coming to you from your Akashic Records.
How should I prepare for an Akashic Record Reading and what are the best types of questions to ask?
During a reading you will be asking your Masters, Teachers & Loved Ones the questions you would like to have answered. The best types of questions to bring to your reading are about the patterns that come up in your life, the issues that feel unrelenting you, the relationships that seem to continually mystify you and those are the best types of questions to bring to your reading. It is best to ask questions that begin with “How…”, “Why…”, or “What….” and also questions that would not have a simple “yes” or “no” answer. Permission is always needed to open your records. In addition to opening your personal records you can open the records of your pets, your home, your business, or a piece of property you would like to buy (if it is on the market.
Examples of questions for your reading would be:
• What can you tell me about the consistent pattern I see at work, no matter what the job is? In the past 10 years I have worked for 3 different companies at the middle management level. All three of the companies were completely different. Yet, no matter how new and fresh the situation seemed for me when I began the job they all ended up with what seem to be the same chronic issues.
• Why is my dog suddenly digging lots of holes in the backyard? She is 7 years old and has never done this before. She seems restless, nervous and destructive in a way that we have never experienced before.
• My husband and I have been together for many years and have lived a very happy married life. Recently, we seem to be at odds with each other all the time with no apparent cause. What can I find out about myself at this point in time and what can I do to understand and improve our marriage back to what I know it can be?
How often is it recommended to have an Akashic Record Reading?
